C'mon boys... win one for the Gipper!
Do the Cowboys defensive backs know how to cover anyone??

Apparently NOT! Geez!!! Another NAIL-BITER... and I cut my nails!!!! LOL.Do the Cowboys defensive backs know how to cover anyone??
Sadly, I picked the final score to be 34-31 for the Giants.
How sad I am that the 'Boys couldn't pull out the victory
I am totally in agreement !I had it 24-21 for the Giants.
Cowboy's are one of my least favorite times, so this is definitely not a yipugh for me...it's a full blown yippee!
I HAVE come to the conclusion that Dallas had better look for a new QB... Romo is NOT the QB we need. We need one that protects the ball AND has a FIRE in his belly. You see him when he sat down... smiles and shrugs... Roger Staubach walked up and down the sideline motivating players. Talking about how to get things going. Troy Aikman did the same. Ben R. does it. Peyton Manning does it. Tom Brady does it. Romo... sit down... watch the TV... and it SHOWS... GRRRR... If I weren't from Texas I'd really HATE this team. LOL. Romo infuriates me in his "apparent" lack of DRIVE.
(Just venting guys... I'm a true blue Cowboy fan!).
I completely agree with you! I was just thinking this exact thing watching the end of the game. With the running game the Cowboys have, they don't need a great QB, just one that doesn't lose the game for them.
You know... I think if you had a Jeff Garcia... or even someone like (and I know some will LAUGH) Trent DILFER there, the Boys could possibly have beaten the Giants their Superbowl year and made an appearance. Romo just seems so "FLAT" when the chips are down.I hear ya' Fred. Romo gets a lot of praise for his "intangibles", but I need to see more consistency when he drops back. He's got some major weapons, and a great line, run game, etc... so all he has to do is get the ball out accurately, and consistently.
I'm not sure they could find a better QB any time soon, but it's hard to see them living up to their potential with him at QB. His stat lines look decent, but he just seems to come up short when it counts. And like you said, he doesn't have the "fire" that the great QB's have.
On a positive note though, I love the Barber/Jones tandem. They looked great out there, and Felix Jones is a flat out stud! Better luck next time, and don't give up all hope. It was a close game that could have gone either way, and it will hopefully serve as a learning curve for the future.

This is what I personally don't like about Dallas. They have no clear leadership on the team, their owner is too self-involved to detach himself as 'assistant coach', and their offense is all or nothing. Last week Tony Romo was every bit of Peyton Manning, and this week he's nothing short of Rex Grossman; he's jumpy, inconsistent, and turns the ball over way too much.I HAVE come to the conclusion that Dallas had better look for a new QB...
