I think I am going to die..

Why can't there ever be a show in my neck of the woods? I mean seriously, If there were one a couple hours away I would drive there no problem. My wife would be angry, but she would get over it...lol

Man I was just in Tampa.... and I'm with you Outcast... Even if it was in AZ and I had to drive 8 hours I'd go.... Tampa's a bit far though =/

Why can't there ever be a show in my neck of the woods? (Outcast)

There are a couple of shows coming up in Az. I don't know where in NM you are, but maybe close enough? One is in Tucson (http://www.tucsonreptileshow.com/) in a couple of weeks, and another is in Mesa (next to Phoenix - http://phxreptileexpo.com/) in Nov.
The Tuscon show is actually next week, I believe. The 25th/26th. I was going to go but plans changed. I'm pretty upset about it too, that show is much better than the Phoenix one from what I hear. But the Phoenix one (Nov 20/21) should be neat also.

Hmm.... Next week you say? Maybe if I have some money and can get a hotel room and a sitter for my dog, my wife and I can make a little trip...lol... but here's to hope.

Or you could hold out for the Phoenix one in November (we are still having 100+F days right now, not the best "transporting herps in plastic deli cups" weather to begin with) and I'd be there :D

This needs a bumping. :D

You know, the first time I defrosted a mouse, I PUT IT IN THE MICROWAVE!
the mouse cooked. My snake wasn't so interested in that mouse.
:awcrap:

On that note once I tried to save time and boil an egg in the microwave.
I took it out started to peel it and it EXPLODED in my face! I had those burns for a while. :crazy01:

not pleasant.

I never did that but I did half boil a rat pup once while thawing it. o_O

My grandpa tried hard boiling eggs like that before, though. XD

It's stickied because it's freaking hilarious!! This is classic and fun. What more do we need? lol

When I was younger, before I learned how to cook an egg on the stove, I used to heat in the microwave. Never had it blow up, but it just didn't taste right. My husband, however, got his eyebrows singed at a very young age nuking an egg... was so traumatized he didn't eat eggs until I scrambled some and made him try it a few years ago... now he loves scrambled eggs! :p

When feeding snakes I keep beverages on a completely different table as I've been terrified of accidentally getting nasty mouse water on accident. Yuck!!

Yeah, I'd like to know why this thread has been stickied myself..... :shrugs:
