I think I will call him Steve

My daughters and I went the our local farmers market yesterday, and I thought of you Tosh. There was a vendor there with apples we were checking out and in one of the baskets of apples was a beautiful black spider with an orange dot on its rump.

The vendor was freaked out and we offered to take the spider off the apples for him. After having to empty the basket of the apples I was able to get the spider and set him down on the ground. The vendor(a man, who made me laugh with him admitting he was a woos when it came to spiders) thanked us. We ended up buying some tomato's from him in the end and he was very happy we took care of the spider for him.

Nice to see new Steve pics. I was a little concerned because we hadn't seen her for a while.
You have implanted this spider in my head and are now responsible for that, K?

25.october.2008 I'm always glad to see Steve munching on a bug.
I hope I'll find enough bugs to get her through the winter.

Can't you buy or find fruit flies for her?? What about very small (pinhead) crickets? What about carving off a tiny piece of mealworm?

Aye, as nanci said you can use normal livefood. I used to feed my spidilings crickets legs! (you know the big hoppy ones at the back).

They just found them *shrugs*. Although, they were in tiny spidieling pots, and didn't have much choice but to find their food. Then they just nomed them... like drumsticks :p
