Anyway.... with that, I'm done on this thread. I originally posted to actually answer the question posted..... and I only posted again after seeing soooooo many posts going on and on and on. You all go right on posting your outrage over this guy pulling teeth out (which btw.... is just hearsay at this point). Go get em!!!

By that logic you should have just kept your opinions to yourself since people argue and spread their thoughts and opinions around on the internet all the time, and it doesn't do any good. So don't even bother responding to this thread.

OP, you cannot tell me that pulling the teeth out of an animal without medical reason and without any painkillers is humane. You absolutely cannot.

The whole "it happens all the time so why care" argument is thoughtless and cruel. Animals get beaten and killed everyday. So why care about it? If this conversation was about dogs or cats, people would be freaking outraged. EVERY animal deserves respect and to be treated humanely. Every single animal. You're lack of empathy disgusts me and makes me fear for your animals.

The opinions of a 20 year old, especially one who thinks the government should be taking away freedoms and passing all kinds of NANNY laws to protect us from ourselves, mean absolutely ZILCH! The OP in which you are referring to has nothing to do with this discussion. The OP was sharing about a mouse bite she received.
 
GCG, I'm sure many of us actually understood what you were getting at by your original post here. Actually, I thought it was an interesting and very true statement about how we, as humans quantify life.
Someone who is avidly arguing for a mouse's life, could turn around and very much go and squish a spider they see on their front porch just because "they don't like spiders".
Humans are silly. I thought your post was quite intuitive and true.

But turning around and attacking Vicky's age and what she feels about a separate issue holds no water and actually causes a lack of respect.

On that note, I raise feeder mice and I do have a line in the sand. When I feed, they are killed quickly and cleanly. Pulling teeth out of a live animal, and leaving it alive; to me, causes unecessary pain and I too would classify it as cruel. That is my line in the sand.

Point taken Tara, however Vicky should not have quoted me for the purpose of chastising me as she did. Had she let it go when I said I had no interest in debating it further, I wouldn't have posted what I did. As far as I'm concerned, if you're going to fling poop, you better prepare to have a little flung back.

As far as causing lack of respect, I understand why you feel the way you do, you're entitled to think/feel whatever you choose. I won't lose any sleep over it one way or the other.

I was not talking about me specifically. I was talking figuratively; about how the comment as a whole would be looked upon by others.

I am well aware that the pulling of teeth is only hearsay, I'm just saying that it should be taken seriously and investigated, just in case it actually IS happening.

Excellent.... call PETA or Animal Control and get the ball rolling! Oh that's right... the poster who originally made this claim won't give it up who the guy is. I guess you've got no choice but to keep posting over and over and over how terrible it is in hopes he'll give up that information.
