Who owns the paradox at the top of the page?

What paradox?

It's something that defies logic, or shouldn't happen. Such as an all white albino (amelanistic) snake that displays dark pigment (melanin), or an anerythristic snake that displays red pigment (erythrin), etc...

I guess the question beautifullywild77 should have asked was "What snake at the top of which page that could be different depending upon your settings are you referring to?" I scrolled back and found a lavender paradox on the "previous" page - Post#51 (and my setting are at the maximum of 40 posts/page) posted by Rich Z and I have no idea who owns it at this point.

Yes,........I was also thinking that was the parodox snake the poster was referring to here... http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1332931&postcount=51

A good friend of mine has this anomaly bloodred that I have posted a couple of times in the past. Thus far he hasn't had any luck reproducing the anomoly......very disappointing too...

Not a chimera?

Well, it certainly could be, but I don't know off the top of my head exactly what morph(s) the two parents were that created it. I'm pretty sure he just bought a guy's entire collection several years ago, and unfortunately might not have gotten all the important details. Not sure if the other guy knew all the precise lineage either.

From what I understand, a "chimera" is technically an organism that displays traits of both parents in random places throughout the body, such as different colored eyes, bizarre patches, etc...

Anyone please feel free to correct me on any of that if they know differently. From what I have read it can be quite complex with many different facets.

Actually, a chimera happens when two embryos fuse. This is why there can be humans where some cells are XX... and some are XY.

So if you fuse the embryos of two different morphs, different chunks of the animal will display different morphs.

Thanks, yes, that would certainly explain the hermaphrodite part of what I remember reading about it too....

I posted my chimeras awhile back. I love them and paradox. My chimeras breed normally every year. Have yet to hatch one my self but I aquired some from a couple of people.
