Progression thread for my IJ Carpet Pythons

Thanks Em, I'm still watching her, not quite ready to assume she's going to be ok.
Rex, Em here is a fellow motorcycle rider. (I had one for a short period of time, but ended up selling in, partially because I never got comfortable with all of the traffic here.

Yea, I would too....but you'll see, all will be fine :)

And it's true.....as bad as I am at it. lol

I'm always glad to meet other riders. I can understand the traffic thing. Once I started racing, I didn't ride on the street nearly as much. If you need to improve your skills, Em, and you've only ridden on the street, find someone with a small (80cc) play/dirt bike and go learn how to slide. Another thing to work on for street riding is the front brake. A modern sport bike can brake hard enough when going straight to lift the back tire using the front brake...even in the rain! I almost never touch the rear brake, exept in the dirt. Rear brake is one of the most common causes of crashes on the street.

Here's more pics of Karma (hatched on my birthday) & Aradia (IJ Jag female)

Jag Neuro problems are in all Jags to a greater or lesser degree.
Sometimes it's hardly noticeable other times it's very prominent.
It doesn't seem to effect the snakes normal day to day lives though.

What he said (thanks Mike) :)

I really notice it when she is stressed, like when I brought her home, & when I first get her out. With all of my babies, I don't handle them as often. I want them as stress-free as possible. I just want them to eat, & grow. I will work with handling them as they get bigger.
I held her mom too, who showed signs when they got her out, but it didn't take long before she was crawling all over me, with no signs of problems.

Aradia is a great eater, so I'm failry confident that she will grow up just fine. :)

what are the signs of the neuro problem? I mean how do they act them out. Is it like stare gazing in corns or head wobbling in bp's?

I've not been around Stargazers or the wobble in bp's, so maybe Mike can explain it better, but from what I have seen in mine, is when stressed, the head tilts back &/or they appear a bit uncoordinated.
I will see about getting some video of it, from mine, but I don't like to stress them out too much, so I don't know if I will be able to get good video of it.

So, talking about the neuro signs in Jags....yesterday, Aradia appeared to be stressed when I walked in the room. I started to get worried, thinkin something was wrong with her. I kept checking on her & finally, I noticed she seemed as calm as ever, & there was a big ole poop in her bin. LOL

Here's a few recent pics....the first two are Karma, my youngest baby, who hatched in July.
Then there's Tyr, my Jungle male.

Update on my Carpet Pythons

Here's a couple update pics of a couple of my Carpets & two new additions.
Karma is my IJ that hatched on my birthday in July last year. She was slow to start eating, but she's a pretty good eater now & is growing pretty well.
She was 19grams when I got her at 3 weeks old. She was listed as "established eater" but I later found out her hatchday & that she had eaten her first meal, & they considered that established.
She is now up to 63 grams & is a pretty good eater for me.

Aradia is my female IJ Jag. She's been a pretty good eater as well. I limit handling of any of my babies as much as possible, I want them to eat, grow & be healthy.

I recently got a long awaited delivery of two new Carpet babies. My very first Coastal & Diamond.
I picked out the female Coastal months ago, & then later made the mistake of looking at his other available babies & ended up adding the 75% Diamond male as well. I had to wait for the weather to be decent enough to ship.
They arrived yesterday. :)

Thanks Haley!
I should add that the Coastal & the Diamond are from Luke Snell (blueisola on iHerp & moreliapythons). He is great to work with & his animals are gorgeous!
