Hmmm... I don't want to start argument I just want to end the conversation concerning my coise of word right here right now - as I hadn't noticed before what kind of a fuzz one little word caused.

I received a PM from one person asking me to remove the word (which I couldn't even do because I'm not a contributing member) and another PM from a Moderator who said it's ok and the word isn't against the rules. So now you all can just let it go.

Yeah. I said it (or better yet typed). I did wonder once or twice before typing it whether it might be against rules or not but then thought it couldn't be - or at least shouldn't be:

a) the first part of the word (which apparently here is found a problem) describes a body part with it's own name. There's nothing filthy in the word, it's not bad language.

b) what's more important: THAT'S THE NAME OF THE EXACT PIERCING. Just like Prince Albert is the name of another sort of a piercing done to men.

c) I used the word in a thread concerning piercings. I'm not spreading the word or other similar names of bodyparts in any thread I participate.

Thank you for those who understood me correctly and stood at my side. :)

I had mine done twice. The first time was i high school and my parents made me take it out. I was very surprised how little it hurt considering it is such a large chunk of muscle but that is also the very reason why it didn’t hurt so much. Your tongue does not have very many nerves so you only feel it enter and then exit, it was a very different experience. I got it done the second time when I moved out for college. I enjoyed having it while I did. The retainers work pretty good. I would not suggest eating with one in as I kept losing the little rubber stops. No one really noticed mine when I had unless i was playing with it. I had if for 2 years and my teeth are fine. Blowing bubble gum is very hard as it will get caught on the ball but you can still chew gum. I had to take mine out cause I am allergic to any metal with nickel in it and was using plastic barbells which I kept breaking in my tongue (don’t do, it hurts more than the piercing). I became a hazard so I took it out. I could not leave mine out for than a few hours. If I did it was very hard to get back in. Mine did scare but I was dumb when I got it in high school and did not take good care of it. Like some other have said you can always get it and if you dot like it then take it out and not one will be the wiser.

Ive got mine done, had it done twice and it is pretty painless, the easiest of all my piercings I am currently doing my aprentiship (I really can not spell) in piercing and the women teaching me compares it to piercing butter, the needle goes through easily

On another note I have had my tounge pierced since I was 18 (now 22) and I have yet to chip any teeth, I did change from a metal bar to a palstic one as I didnt like the feel of the metel when I knocked it against my teeths.
