I've had her for about a week now i named her pansy because I am obsessed My Chemical Romance. They're my favorite band and the rythm guitarist Frank Iero (who I love) Had a guitar named "Pansy" So thats how i came up with her name.. How about you guys and post a picture (if you can)

all my cornsnakes are named after Anne Rice characters. I have Marius, Akasha, Pandora, and Lestat. They are the first 4 animals in my vid.

My black milksnakes are named after two of the '7 deadly sins', and are also a nod to Fullmetal Alchemist characters. Wrath and Envy.

My geckos are named after things in the world of Tolkien. They are named Avari and Eldar. I haven't given a name to my GTP yet (despite having her for almost 2 months now), but it will also most likely follow the Tolkien theme.

I named my snakes based on their color/morph name/location. Well, except for Cairo, my Lavblood, because I couldn't come up with a name I liked for "purple" or "plasma," etc.

Bloodred - Cerise (French for "cherry")

Granite - Mica (type of sediment commonly found in granite stone)

Caramel - Aurelia (Latin for "golden")

Miami (RIP) - Cypress (named for the cypress swamps common to Everglades)
Mexican Black Kingsnake (RIP) - Crow (black bird)
Baird's Rat snake - Laredo (from Laredo, TX)
Mex-Mex - Javier (Hispanic name)

My bearded dragon is named after a character from Underworld; Kraven. :}

Medusa so named b/c she just read the mythos. Checkers b/c she's a normal corn and my daughter said it's from the belly pattern.

The majority of my guys are named from my conlang. Torandre means "at last", Ferenea means "Snow", and Essan means "red".

Dier means "flames". S/he's my almost-a-sunglow.

Nautley is so named because s/he is actually NOT a motley.

The only snake of mine who's name relates to his color is Lafayette:

So named because he's a golddust and I love HBO's True Blood... There's a character named Lafayette who is a fabulous gay man who wears gold pants in one scene... also, the snake was bred and born in Louisiana, which is where the show takes places, so it was just too perfect.

Spitz, for Spitfire. Named because he's so spazzy.

Scarlett is a bloodred. She was named partially for her color, but more for OSU's team colors. =]

Fluffy was named immediately, when I picked her up.. IDK why. I just decided her name should be Fluffy.

Stitch was named because his colors look, to me, like they're stitched perfectly together.

Frank was named after Frank Castle from The Punisher. = ]Love that movie.

Brutus was named after the OSU mascot.

Rosalia was named because she is a red-tail. Her red tail made me want to name her Rosie. I decided Rosalia was prettier and more feminine.

Apollo, my lavender het hypo blood male, named after the god Apollo.



Artemis, my lavender het hypo blood female, named after the goddess, Artemis.



Abel, my green basilisk (Jesus Christ lizard), named after Abel, son of Adam and Eve.



Lucian, citrus beardie, named after a character in the Underworld movies.

This is Jewel, my Amel Motley het Caramel Stripe, named because she is the jewel of my collection.

This is Delight, an Amel, she was named for how delightful she is when handling her, very adventurous with a love for snuggling hair.

This is my husband's Diffused, Red Rum. Yes that is a refference to The Shining, my husband's favorite movie!

This is Brass a normal Motley het Stripe. Named for the way his scales shine when held at the right angle.

This is Kha, a jungle corn named after the snake in The Jungle Book.

This is Scarlet, originally Rose because of how pink she was when we got her.

This is Shade, named for color and ability to hide so well. We are not entirely sure what morph he is.

Here is Sanzabar, named well, honestly his coloring reminded me of a dessert when we got him and this sounded like it was desserty. He's a normal het Amel stripe.

I have 3 cats, Scout named for his desire to know everything going on, Prince the 2nd after a cat I had as a kid, and Salem in respect of those killed in the Witch hunts. Sout is an orange tabby and white dsh, Prince a black dmh, and Salem a gray and white dlh.

Boo Radley is inspired by the character in To Kill a Mockingbird... because people are scared of snakes irrationally and because he hides quite a lot.

Mouse was named by my mom for her coloration... she resembles the pinky mice she eats.
