Release or Euthanize Cornsnakes? What's your opinion?

I just released several corn snakes in my back yard, but before doing so, I appropriately renamed them.

1.) The real uptight one that never could relax and was constantly biting; Em Wright.

2.) The old one; Wade.

2.) The annoying one who just sraight bothered me; jpccusa.

3.) The one who couldn't seem to clear his throat, ahem, and was picked on by several others for trying to always be suave and subtle, yet cool; Jay.

4.) And finally, the one whom I believe to have down-syndrome; Sweet ol' Darcpixie.

This debate has left a sour tast in my mouth. FYI, ahem, Jay.. I was warned twice by Susan for my cursing and for threatening jpccusa by saying I was going to punch him in the face. However, the Line I used was a direct quote out of the movie "Step Brothers" and was meant to be taken very lighlty for I was indeed, kidding. I'm not violent, nor have I ever hit or harmed anyone. Maybe I was a little too fast in being me. I will always admit when I'm wrong. I violated certain rules here and I apologize for that. It doesn't matter if I was kidding or not, rules are rules.

I would also like to say that I never cursed, I may have said hell or damn but the other heavier words were never fully spelled out. There is a certain genuis when someone boldly states their opinion and stands by it, regardless of how many people think, say, state or believe it to be wrong. If I'm not banned from this site for my little rant above, then I prolly still wont come here much. Don't take to heart my kidding. Wish everyone the best, except for maybe jpccusa. (kidding)

If the animal is native to the area you live in, let the creature go and wish it the best. That is what I would do and no bullsh%t is going to convince me otherwise. PERIOD.

Besides the drama, I don't see much native about a purple/yellow/orange snake. Sure, normals and aneries can survive in the wild with little difficulty, but... It's still cruel to release a sick/injured/malformed/non-feeder into the wild, native species or not.

I kind of hope Rotach comes back as a deformed corn hatchling to someone such as himself. See just how it feels to be "wished the best" in nature when everything else in his life is artificial. Artificial pairing, artificial hunting... You know.

As far as I'm concerned, the "heavier" swear words are still swear words, even with &%^*!'s and such. The connotation is still there. And good, don't come here often. There's enough drama as it is.

I strongly strongly oppose releasing man-made/genetically-engineered corn snake morphs (I gather that is what you mean) into an environment in which they would never normally be a part of to begin with. There is no acceptable reason for this whatsoever. Healthy, sickly, or deformed. It is an outlandish thought which would never cross an educated Hepetologist's/Zoologist's/Biologist's/Taxonomist's/Ecologist's mind. That is complete and utter disregard and disrespect for nature, the environment, evolution, natural selection, Linnaeus, Darwin, and countless other scientists, ecologists, taxonomists, naturalists, etc., etc., etc.
Not to mention the wrongful thing done to the non-native corn snake morphs.
With respect to the post above, I seriously resent that one was not named after me.

And with respect to this post above, you have betrayed yourself by your own testimony to be just the thing that you are.
I would never stand in the way of a raging donkey intent on completely covering his pasture with deranged, higgledy-piggledy donkey tracks.

Now you are just being a smarmy git. You shouldn't be allowed to own pets, and for their hypothetical sake I hope you never yourself breed... Oh wait, if your child had a terminal illness you could just release them into your backyard to die a natural death.

Honestly, how DARE you be so incredibly callous, cold, and cruel to the animals in your care. Do you discard all responsibilities when they become unpleasant?

Those are your PETS. It is up to you to do what you can for them, and once nothing can be done, PREVENT them from suffering. But nooo.... You just release them so you don't have to deal with the unpleasantness of seeing them slowly waste away in your care.

Out of sight, out of mind.

Attitudes like yours make me hate humanity.

Why would you act like that to everyone? What does the post you just made have to do with the topic?

To me it just looks like you're stirring the pot. I think you're enjoying all of this drama, but you know... I'm not and I can bet you that everyone else probably doesn't appreciate it either.

I can't believe you... I really just... can't. Why couldn't you just have a happy debate? This could have been an enjoyable thread and when you quit posting... it was. :(

My darlings, stop feeding the troll.

I would never release a snake into the wild. It is illegal and if the snake is sick and not eating in captivity I don't believe he would do well in the wild. I also wouldn't be able to euthanise a pet snake, or any animal for that matter. I love animals too much. I don't know what I would do if I stuck with an animal who was sick.

I have just released the 5th and final snake, the poor little guy had an unusually small reproducive organ. Go be free little Eric, go be free...

Thanks for "fluffing" me before you set me free. You fluff.......like a professional.

(Attitudes like yours make me hate humanity.) Shiari, that is very mean. That, and I cannot find the definition of "smarmy git" anywhere.:shrugs:

I apologize about my spelling error. I meant "euthanize" NOT "euthanise."

As much fun as this has been, I think it is time to let the Troll die. He hasn't said anything worth hearing from the begining of this thread.

Euthanise is a correct way of spelling. S instead of Z is seen more often in Brittain and the likes... just as they have honour instead of honor, and colour instead of color. I spell euthanize as euthanise. Having read Tolkien from an early age it had a huge impact on how I spell. I had fun in fifth grade arguing with a teacher that yes, colour WAS a correct spelling! D: She didn't give me back my point. *grumbles*

Fortunately Wade, 'talking', or brains for that matter, is not prerequisite for excelling in the field of fluffing.

If I had an animal that wasn't eating and becoming rather thin.. I would do my absolute best help it to heal. As a last resort, I would release the animal into the wild. I don't care what any responsible, ecologist, forest ranger, McDonald's employee or local adult store sales person would do. My snakes! My decision!

Humm I guess Susans crypto reply never made you stop and think did it.. You, infact, and the scores of people like yourself that seem to have no understanding or clue, are the reasons why the good keepers get all these riduclas laws slapped down on us.. Thanks for making the hobby even harder to do, and thanks for the kind thoughts of the wild counterparts who may be wiped out because of diesease for which there is no cure for a wild one.. Please, please, stop and listen to us before you make a fatal decision for us all which includes other reptiles and animals in your area...

Regards... Tim of T and J

Eric? Em would appreciate if you elaborate on fluffing. (I can only imagine the whip Susan will crack on you in doing so) Haha! That's not funny.
