2009 Yahoo - Pro Football Pickem - Contest - Prizes

Chargers are going to smoke the Raiders! Oakland is a desolate environment where talent goes to die, and I really don't see any way they can win.

where are they playing? I don't see the baseball diamond/football field very much anymore. Is that the home teams normal field?

The Black Hole... and when the A's play there, it's the A....

Woohoo! Raider Nation! I didn't pick my team this round, but will gladly take the hit to see them win this one!

Wow... Only Darcpixie and Robbie picked Oakland!

I don't really like Phillip Rivers... but you gotta pick the team you think will win.

That Patriots victory, was an absolute Nail Biter, for sure. You can really see that Brady was suffering from a lot of rust. He hasn't played in 53 weeks. The timing of his offense was off in the first half and the defense is young and lacking veteran leadership.

The end of the game only showed that Brady and the rest of the team, still has what it takes to make plays. Ben Watson, still drives me nuts, with the dropped passes. He is still a play maker, when he is needed. Wes Welker and Randy Moss, are the two guys, who will continue to dominate the NFL, as receivers.

I really think, that once the Patriots offense, begins to click, a lot of the teams in the NFL are in trouble! This season is looking very promising!

Stay Thirsty My Friends!

The only person, I care about on the Raiders, is the big man, Richard Seymour! I feel for him! A great football player, stuck on a shi...crappy team!

In 2011, when the Pats use that first round draft pick, it will probably be somewhere in the top five, of pics! An Excellent move by Belichick, but I still feel bad for Seymour!

I hate the Chargers! Phillip Rivers is a mediocre quarter back, surrounded by talent. Just like Ben Uselessburger!

;)

You know, Wayne. I agree with you. I DO think that Wes Welker is MUCH more valuable to the team than Randy Moss. I'm sure that Randy distracts enough defenders to be giving Wes some daylight, but I think, far an away, he's the better possession receiver.

as long as the pat's don't go to the superbowl everything is cool.

Oh, and the Steelers don't need to go again either :sidestep:

:50 to go. I took the Pats, but I was pumped to see Buffalo getting ready to beat them.

How do you not take a knee in the end zone with 2 minutes to victory!!!
I actually feel bad for McKelvin. Part of me thinks it wasn't by choice he took it out, and that he was actually instructed to do so. There was 2:06 left on the clock, and I'm sure the coaches told him to run it past the 2 minute warning to bypass an extra clock-stoppage. You could see him start to kneel in the end zone, and when he fumbled he was headed for the turf. I blame the fumble more on the coaching staff for being greedy, and not trusting of their offense.

Crazy finish though, and the Patriots desperately needed a week 1 win. BTW, Fred Jackson is amazing. He's got incredible balance, and he single handedly made the Bills look good. They've got a big choice to make when Marshawn comes back.

Totally agree!. They were like sharks in bloody water when that fumble occurred, and once they recovered it I knew it was over. Brady was amazing, and I hear you on Watson, but he does have an uncanny ability to redeem himself. Their defense is suspect, but they'll get there as the season progresses. Great game, and I'm hoping the Chargers can manage to eek out a win now against Oakland. Go Powder Blues!.
