He is versatile, no question about it, and much quicker than defenses tend to anticipate. I just like Moss slightly more, because at the end of the day he can destroy a defense. His mixture of size and speed is unique in itself, but he's also very smart. Welker can be contained with the right defender if he becomes the main focus, but Moss can't be once he's determined. He's just to big for corners, and too fast for safety's. He literally makes everyone's job easier, and if he has a QB like Brady to converse with he can get that separation and make the big plays on a consistent basis. Luckily though, they don't have to choose, and I'm sure both are looking at Pro Bowl seasons!.
I hear you on Seymour, but in a 4-3 defense Seymour becomes expendable, and at seasons end either Wilfork or Seymour had to go. Getting the Raiders #1 was too good to pass up, and once the rookie Ron Brace steps up they'll be better. It was definitely a move for the future, but at this stage it was the smart move, and that pick will probably be a top 5 at that. When the 2011 draft occurs, Pat fans will rejoice and just knowing it was the Patriots who made the move explains it all. They're the kings of wheeling and dealing, and once these rookies see more playing time their defense will look all the better. Also, they were without Jerod Mayo so once he's back everything will change!.
