2009 Yahoo - Pro Football Pickem - Contest - Prizes

Have you seen pictures of my basement, you and my bf could hang out just fine. He's tried getting me into Gundam...I'm just not there.

ah, I just looked, and this is the only pic I got that had gundam stuff in it (some of the stuffed things on the couch). Since I'm not a huge fan of Gundam I must have avoided taking pics of that stuff  We've got this 'hideous' thing infesting our basement though http://www.gundamstoreandmore.com/ban949843.html , and he's working on building another one too.

WOW!!! Nice basement (I'm sure I said that before!). I made PLENTY of Gundam models... but none QUITE that expensive. Looks like a great model. You should post pics on a thread, "Boys and their Toys". LOL.

I should show you pictures of our bedroom. You would be impressed, too. We have pirate flags, knives, swords and a lot more stuff on the wall. My wife collects blades, of all types. Oh, and not to forget the snakes and the lizard, that are in here. Besides the kids, the only thing, that get their own room is the rodents. ;)

I think this is the one he's in the process of making (slow going, he's been working on it for about a year, he doesn't get to it very often) http://www.gundamstoreandmore.com/ban916409.html
THAT is a nice model! Ask him if he's ever made a Gundam 01 model. Would be a DREAM to see!

Knives??? Whoa... YOUR WIFE collects knives????? Whatever you do, Wayne, DO NOT OFFEND her!

... Can we say, "Lorena Bobbit"? :sidestep:

BTW, have any of you noticed how the RAIDERS are doing VERY well against the Chargers??? 10 - 10 STILL with 22 seconds left in the 3rd. IS it gonna be another nail-biter???

Welker, is the undefined player. He is official title should be defender/half back/slot receiver/receiver/tight end/punt returner and all around, kick arse machine! I openly admit, to a man crush! :sidestep:
Admit it, it's because he looks like Spiderman isn't it (lmao)?. Just kidding, and I believe every persons allowed to have one man crush; my own man crush is on Kevin Garnett. I totally see why people love Welker though. He shouldn't be able to do what he does, yet he does it week in and week out. He's definitely got some Rudy in him.

Also, not to totally bring race into it, but there's only a handful of White receivers in the league and he tops that list 10x over. For most people it's refreshing to see that it is possible for a White player to play a glamour position in the NFL; Especially for the up-and-coming players. Personally I think that's a good thing, and he's a great role model for young players to aspire to be...Who knows Wayne, maybe your son could be the next Wes Welker?!. :santa:

I'm sick of these nail biters...my nails are short enough as it is.
Luckily, more than likely, I won't find out until tomorrow as I'm heading to bed a few mins.

Actually, my total man crush, was Bruschi. I have loved him, to my wifes jealousy, since 96. I literally cried, when I heard he was retiring. I have a autographed jersey, that never comes out of the gun safe, that I wore that day. :crying:

Welker, is the close, second in that regard!!

It's like the David and Goliath, passage from the bible. There is no way, that that little man can beat the big bad defenses of other teams, but he does!

Who cares about race, because it has nothing to do with anythingl Garnett is an animal and an Basketball icon! Welker is some kind of phenom. It's like the little engine that could.

I remember the hell he used to give teams as a member of the Dolphins, but who knew, that it would take Brady and the Pats offense, to unlock his true potential?!?!

My other man-crushes are Pedroia and the newly acquired Martinez. Total man love!! :sidestep:

Hey, even Bellichick got teary eyed at his retirement. Still I see the HOF in Bruschi's future, and I'm sure coaching as well. He's been there through it all, and represents the Patriot way as much as anybody. Kudos on the signed jersey, and you'll have to break it out in years when he goes to Canton...

I only bring up race, because young kids can identify with him and he's someone who proves anybody can make it in the NFL. I love the anomalies in sports culture, and that's why I love KG. People always said he wasn't strong enough, or physical enough, but he does things nobody else can do. Just his intensity is something to marvel at, but I also believe even if KG was only 6 feet tall he's still make it in the NBA due to his raw ability.

Wes Welker shows little kids that if you have heart and you work hard, you can make it in the pro's. Something that goes a long way in inspiring the next generation of pro athletes.

And an iron chastity belt or more! :sidestep:

Seems you've given it a fair bit of thought. Can't blame you though...You have to look out for your best interests!. :)

Wow. I just tuned in to the game. SD is in the red zone with 46 seconds left in the game! Go San Diego! (Talk about a yucky feeling. Division rivals and whatnot. LOL)

Woohoo! Touchdown San Diego! 18 seconds to go. Can Oakland win it? I've seen crazier things happen.
