2009 Yahoo - Pro Football Pickem - Contest - Prizes

Screw this...next week I am going with pure instinct. I would have done much better if I would have done it that way all along.

LOL. IDK... IMO Brees isn't over-rated and he's shown it again for the 5th game in 6 weeks. 17-20 for over 270+ yards in the first half with 3 TD's? Sounds legit to me. Esp. against one of the better defenses in the league (at least what I heard on the radio).

That being said, Cincy let me down AND Washington did too... Baltimore just scored...

GRRRRR... I've lost at least 2 now... probably at least 1 more... GRRRRR

it was so hard not being able to watch the Minn/Balt game in the last seconds there. I'm staring at the computer waiting for something to change and I see "missed field goal". Huge sigh of relief.

LOL. I got home just in time to see the ending!!!

GRRRR at Washington!!!

GRRRRR at Cincy!!!!

ditto. my gut feeling wanted me to pick KC over Wash...but I didn't listen to my gut.

I would never have imagined picking houston over cincy though, darn you cincy.

I thought about Houston/Cincy... Isn't the QB for Houston Matt Ryan... he's an up and coming QB... Just thought that Carson Palmer was the more "seasoned".

KC... should have trusted Suzy!!! :)

The biggest butt kicker I have right now is...why did I not pick NO. I intended to pick them early in the week, but couldn't make up my mind.

Haha - This is the second time I've picked KC since I started playing. Fortunately this time panned out. They were due for a win, and against Washington, I thought it was extremely possible. :D

Same here. I don't know why I picked NY. Ugh. That was a total blowout, too.

You know what is annoying...all these 'new' Vikings fans that are only fans because Favre came to the team. I almost don't like pronouncing the Vikings as my favorite in public because people here think that if you're a Vikings fan you only like them because of Favre.

Heck, I hated Favre when he was on the Packers...because I hate the Packers.

I wish these supposed Packers fans wearing Vikings jerseys would go away...but it is kind of funny.

UGHHHH! The Titans are wearing their "throwback" Houston Oiler uniforms... I hate it because I was a BIG Oiler fan... (Dan Pastorini, Earl Campbell et al). I kinda like the Titans still.... but they're NOT Houston...

What the heck are the Raider doing???? They scored!!!!
LOL. They're WINNING!!! :)

Goodness. What has happened to Jeff Fisher's team (Titans)? Oh, how the mighty (okay... NOT so mighty) have fallen. The're losing 31-0... 3 TD's for NE in 3 1/2 minutes... Wow....

New York is one of, if not the best D in the league... When healthy! The Giants are out A.Ross (starting CB, and young star), K.Phillips (starting FS, great player), and M.Boley (starting OLB, great in pass D).
This was a desecrated Giants D, and they couldn't get any pressure. Brees takes advantage of his opportunities, but I think he's overrated in the sense that people are crowning him to be the best QB in the league, and completely ignoring that his two best games, and really the only two games that padded his stats, were against Detroit (cough), and this weak and beaten up NYG defense.
He didn't play all that well in 3 of the 5, and didn't do much of anything against the Jets D that Chad Henne was able to tear apart last Monday.
Drew Brees is great, don't get me wrong, but those were ALL fairly easy TD's. I was disgusted by the lack of D the Giants played, and Colston really made some BIG plays off of mediocre passes.

MISS!!!! YESSS!!!!!!!!

Sorry... Just got excited there!

Let me add... Flacco has nerves of ICE!!!!
Now Flacco, HUGELY UNDERRATED! Where's his props? You've got it right, he has nerves of ice, and I think he will certainly get atleast one super bowl in his career.

You're thinking of Matt Schaub... Matt Ryan is the Falcons QB, but Schaub is really good when he stays healthy. If it were picking teams based on who I thought would win, Houston would have been my pick. I just figured everyone else would pick Cincy, and didn't want to give everyone +1 on me in the event I was wrong.

Bengals can't rely on last minute victories, and they proved that today. They were behind practically all game, and couldn't do much about it.
