Wow...how'd I miss that??? Thanks for bringing it to my attention!!!! Ok...Went to the pharmacy...got some KY & 2 needles..18 guage (as per Kathys book) and 5ml syringe...kathy book say 10cc but 5 was the biggest they had.

thanks....I'd like to say a few other things to vent my frustrations....but there may be youngster around. and I would'nt want you fine people to get the wrong image of me! So...I'm biting my lip at this point.

Thats why you should always have 2(or more in my case).

Ok...that was painless...switched out DBS units..everythings fine.
Take THAT Murphy!!!
 
Ok...so while we're all waiting...you know....If she makes it through this...She doesnt have a name yet...Seems only fitting..at this point...to name her....I'm open to suggestion.

but on a more serious note, she's being a tough little warrior to have gotten all those other eggs out and how she's fighting to get that one going... quite a fighter!
 
YES!!!!!! Oh My Gosh!!! Kathy Love...I think I love you!!! ..relax bill....figure of speech! Ok..1 egg out...we used a small Sexing probe...lubed up with KY jelly...You insert into the cloaca..just at the opening...and start working in a circular motion..Just at the entrance..this lubes the opening and causes the cloaca to open...with my thumb placed gently behind the egg..applying light pressure..not to push it out as much as keeping it from going back in...then slowly...go deeper along the side of the egg...at this point it's important to note the texture...if it feels bumpy..your against the egg...if it's slick feelin you against a membrane..and should stop. If it's bumpy..continue to circle the egg with the probe..to loosen it up...keeping pressure at the rear of the egg..eventually it opens right up..and POP!!!! out comes the egg!!! WOW!!!

1 down....So I chose to wait 24hrs....to see if the next egg moves down on it's own and perhaps she could expel this on her own...or..if not by the time i get home....we'll do the procedure again. Simple. really simple...wow! Oh my Gosh! Wow! ok...who's buying me a beer?

Once Again....Kathy Shows us all why she is the "Queen" of cornsnakes!! I'm nobody..Just a Guy who goes to work everyday and enjoys his beloved pets. kathy, it seems...seen that one of her "own" was in trouble...and offered help....She didnt have to do that....But she did...Kathy you did..and for that i am eternally Grateful to you & the seemingly endless knowledge of corn snakes you posess. I never said I wasnt Shaking!! :) i my gosh...i was SOOOOOOOOO Nervous....Heres my Lil girl..who's life depends on my every action in one hand, and the KATHY LOVE on the phone in the other....my Gawd!!! I was actually weak in the knees AFTER we hung up...i was SOOO tense through the whole thing....then it was over...Just like that...Until tomorrow...Hopefully the 2nd egg will move down...just 1/2 inch and i think i can get this one out the same way. then it's nothing But pampering from her on..

question for ya, ok procedure was a success....the egg that came out appears wet...could be the lube..but i doubt it. i put it off to the side in the incubator...just to see...but i'm not holding my breath on that one..also, candled the rest..some candle a reddish color..(most) the other 3 or 4 was a more Clear or white light?? Also..seen a few small veins in a few of them already...Ok..it's locked up tight..I'll check once a week...correct? Also, while doing the procedure..i noticed her belly scales are starting to dull...i'm wanting to feed her...but i can't knowing what i'll be doing tomorrow. After i'm done tomorrow...and she's settled in for a minute. should i offer a small meal...or wait till after the shed?? I just dont want to risk a regurdge at this point.
