First hook-ups for me!!

Ok....So K. Rene's Cheddah Layed her eggs 17 days before zena layed her eggs. Cheddah's eggs pipped yesterday & today. I'm 27 days out from 70 days...i'm thinking 60 days is a good guesstimate. thoughts? Also, There is BIG TIME movement in at least 5 of the 9 eggs. the other 4 eggs are in such a position that viewing them is difficult. so it will be assumed they are following suite.

seems to me that 60-70 days in incubation is pretty average. You're lookin good there ;) My girl ended up double clutching and now I get to wait again on just 2 eggs that may not really be fertile but I am incubating to be safe. 4 were slugs for sure. LOL, I thought I was done ha ha ha.

Great!!,

It's starting to get exciting all over again!! :) Glad?? your girl dbl-clutched for ya.....I'm also glad...that i dont believe zena will. well, as before, i guess i'll just sit here and wait! LOL

Looking at the eggs looking at me looking at the eggs....Yep..It's official...I'm frigging nuts!! I got babies coming...A realtor, running a credit check so i can buy MY OWN house, So i dont have to deal with people's attitudes about what "I" want to do in MY life!! jeeesh!!! And Work wants my there 24/7. UGH!!!!!!!!!

Really?? LOL If I do that..i might spew out another String of frustration no one here deserves to hear!! :)

LOL..no no ...not poor me...I'm Doing better than it sounds.... :) And thanks for the "Good Luck" we'll just see where the chips fall i guess.

Thank you Thank You Thank You!! :) I Just want the eggs to hatch!! LOL....The House..well, if it's to be..then fine...Not much i can do to change what the realtor tells me...the nay-sayers around me that dont like snakes...well..i can ignore them! :) And work...well, i'd rather put in 58-60 hrs a week...than to be at home not working...ya know...

Ok,
So heres the deal...i get home tonight...the Incubator is at 86 degrees...the air conditioner isnt enough to keep up with the 92 degree heat outside. So, I lift the top off the incubator and open the egg chamber for about 10 minutes to let some cooler air in...temps slowly drop to 84 degrees..the humidity guage drops from high 90's to 64 % . I put the lid back on the egg chamber. but left the lid to the incubator off....temps leveled out at 84 degrees. ok..i run to wal-mart for about an hour...when i get back i check on the eggs. Temps are still at 84 degrees....the humidity guage is back to the high 90's...but all of the eggs are dimpled. Should I add a touch of water to the hatchrite?? or do you think i'm close enough to perhaps be witnessing the dimpling of the eggs before hatching. if it goes 70 days im 24 days out....if it goes 60 days (incubating at 83 degrees) im 14 days out. I've already got some orchid moss prepped to put around the eggs.(using hatchrite..thats all...no moss at this time.) Any thoughts?

I "think" it's a little too early for pre-pip dimpling. Try adding the damp moss on top and see if that plumps them back up. Good luck!

Ok Slightly Damp Orchid moss has been placed over the eggs....Used my temp gun to make sure moss and egg chamber was same temps.

Sometimes they can take up to 2 weeks to pip once they dent and we are at, what 46 days now? That means even if they take the full 2 weeks that would put you at 60 days. It still could have been the drop in humidity but I wouldn't be all that surprised if they don't plump back up. Do the shells feel real soft?
