First hook-ups for me!!

LOL I love that word, supple. I don't think that you will have to wait till that 70 days that you are counting down to.

23 days and counting......

Placed dampened moss over the eggs last night ...humidity is off the scale (digital just reads "HIGH") temps are at 83 derees. the eggs are still dimpled this morning...no change. will take pics when i get home tonight.

I would check the substrate *under* the eggs. Last year, my eggs dimpled and I couldn't figure out why as the moss on top was still damp. But directly under the eggs, the moss was actually bone-dry. Just a thought.

The one thing that makes me think it's dehydration, and not the dimpling before hatching, is that ALL the eggs went at about the same time. They are not Severely dented....Just barely.

You can add a little water to the HatchRite if it's dry...it won't hurt anything. With those guys cooking at 83*, you will probably see pips sooner than you think...

my first clutch started dimpling on day 48 (4 days ago) so that has me concerned as well. first day was just one egg, then just two, but several of the egg tops are very soft. my humidity is close to 100 with more condensation that is probably ideal on the lid, so i don't think it's that (but will definitely check UNDER the eggs today as suggested). my eggs have been incubating between 80-84 and I'm not expecting pippies til at least day 60. We'll see if they have a different idea...and I thought the wait this year wasn't going to be so bad due to spread out laying (last clutch was just laid about a week ago!).

this thread is getting to be a monster!

Ok..Just got home...the eggs dont appear to be plumping back up. will add a touch of water to the hatch-rite..just dont want to over do this. the humidity gauge is pegged on "HIGH" (above 90%). has been since about 9:00 pm last night. slightly dampened orchid moss was also added last night...So i touched one of the eggs....the snake inside the egg didnt much care for my affectionate touching. I actually felt it push against my finger-tip. 1 egg seems to be tougher shelled than the others. Putting distilled water in the incubator to let it get up to temps before adding to hatch-rite. i think i might see pippies by next weekend. :) Of course i'm just guessing.

To be honest. I am think so too. Your eggs really should have pumped up a least a little with humidity that high.

I hope!!! So..for your approval..i offer these egg pics. please feel free to comment at will. In 1 of the pics an eggs appears to have mold on the side of it....it's not mold...it's actually a clear "window" into the egg. doesnt seem to be effecting the occupant. enjoy!

look pretty much like my dimpled ones...maybe we'll just get some early babies! i have another clutch that's only a day behind my first one, and those eggs are still super plump. i could not see/feel babies moving, but i don't think the eggs are bad. of course now i have to check them like every 5 min! the last few days/weeks are the hardest! what day are you on now?

yeah,
the nervous energy im experiencing is incredible! everything is in place & ready for the new arrivals...now we just need time to go a little faster!! :)
