First hook-ups for me!!

Oh no I am not. She does it on her own. Last night I was feeling her again after she shed and I can feel 11 or more lumps but only 5 of them feel harder so I am hoping that the rest are slugs. I haven't weight her in the last couple weeks but I was able to get her weight back up to 315 grams. I thought about offering the eggs to one of these people who want to breed their snakes just to experience the miracle of a baby pipping.

well,
in my mind..your a trooper. Not a bad idea with the babies from the 2nd clutch...just make sure they go to people who are ready for the Craziness that is sure to ensue!! lol

That is kind of the way that I am seeing it. The stress of hatchlings with out putting their snakes at risk. Might work.

LOL...Ummm..you mean it gets even more stressful than waiting for eggs to pip?? even more so than waiting for your gravid female to lay?? uh oh...LOL
(Deep breath) Ok...Bring it!!! :)

i would like to try to see how pipping goes before we get a good breed with our girl next year! i would like a few eggs if your serious lol =]

I would be if some of these eggs are fertile however I am pretty sure that they wouldn't survive shipping. Unfortunatly, it would have to be someone local.

Oh no Rich you are almost 75% there. Your right they wouldn't get the stress about about the female snake but they would get the waiting for pips stress. Getting everyone eating good stress and possibly trying to find homes for the ones you are not going to keep stress.

I dont know about you guys but when my eggs started denting, then pipping I literally felt like running around in circles. Now I know why they used to tell men to go get hot water for their wives in labor. They didnt need hot water for the birth but it gave the guy something to do.

Also as a comparison mine started dimpling on day mmm 60 or 61 I think. And I saw the first tiny slits the day after then it took two days for the snakes to come out and the whole time I barely slept.

YES!!! And it is not even like they all come out at once. Must be the adrenaline.

I know mine must be close because I finally had my first baby dream with this clutch (last year it happened the whole time). But I had a dream that they all started pipping and each and everyone of them had Triceratops shaped heads with out the horns.

LOL..yep...sounds familar!! :) 'Course i dont have pippies yet. well tomorrow is day 50 at 83* so i'm hoping by day 60 we'll see some pippies.

Umm...yes..More than once a day...more like 6-7 times a day!! LOL (Looking at watch) Opppss..5 minutes passed my scheduled viewing...better go check.

Nah...Not touching...just looking thru the window in the incubator. they are pretty much on thier own from here....Just waiting for that first tiny slit...

Matter a fact....bout had a heart attck last night....I looked in the incubator, and there was an egg with what appeared to be a tiny slit...upon closer inspection...it was just a strand of orchid moss on the egg..damn! I swear my heart stopped for a few seconds. :)

the sad part is..i realize i could still have another week to wait....and knowing that just flat sucks!

Nanci,

OOoooo!! Nice Clutch, CAN NOT wait to see pics of the babies. I remember talking with sean niland several years ago...when i was looking for my first corn....i explained i wanted to produce blizzards & whiteouts....He suggested an avalanche at some point in my future,as he likes the morph, but i got My Phantom & ultramel charcoal. anyway...looks like i should have gotten that avalanche, because NOW they look so much more inviting to me,then throw in the stripe gene. WOW...you got a winner there!!.
