First hook-ups for me!!

Definately a butt load of both in terms of photos. But if I had to choose I'd opt for a couple of nice close up shots of the individual babies.

This question is for those that have hatched more than 1 clutch of eggs.
What's the procedure for dealing with the babies as they exit the shell? what i mean is...do i take each one after they are out, wipe the goop off them? or do you just leave them altogether till the whole mess is done? Also..as long as the babies are fully formed..with no egg yolks hanging out....is it Ok to put them on DRY paper towels? or should the towel's be dampened? and of course..at some point pics will need to be taken....is the preferred method...individual pics, group shots, or just a butt load of both??

I take each out as they hatch unless they hide beneath the remaining eggs then I wait until they come out of hiding ;)

I have not dealt with the egg yolk issue so mine always go on dry paper towels with a cute little water dish made for hamsters that doubles as a hide!

As to photos. I try to take a pic as I find them out but still in the incubator, then a pic of the little one in my hand during transfer, then a pic in his or her new tub, then just before each feed :D You can NOT have too many pics lol!

well,
the whole green pepper smell...I cant really tell...LOL....the moss in the incubator smells like the moss in the trial tub today! :) so maybe i'm not as close as i thought i was.

Perhaps while we are waiting, this would be a good time for me to pose a very very serious question....Which came first? The egg or the snake :bang:?!

It's funny you say that. I was watching my girl lay a clutch yesterday when my brother in law came over. He breeds RTB so I asked him do you want to see a snake lay an egg cause she was on her last egg. Just as he peeked over the tub and said "Oh that has got to hurt." I asked him the same question.

OH come on!! We better be seeing gray and white soon at least within the next week.

currently at fathers day picnic. So if i have pippies,i cant see. Them...ugh! Probably be here till 7 or 8. Ugh!!!!

I'm not going to mess with anybody until after they have all shed. I think all my pestering contributed to my non-feeder issues last year. Very few pics, no moving around, and no popping...

I bought some Dixie Cups, 5 oz, to see if they would work as hides. Nope. Too light.

I hallucinated a hatchling when I got home but it was just a shadow.

nanci,
I thought one was pipping...it was a strand of orchid moss...

there is a spot of good news...today was feeding day..everyone ate. Zena, whom i believe is dble-clutching on me....went stright into her lay box the other day..and hasnt come out....I offered her food....she stuck her head out and Pounded the adult mouse....And drug it back into her lair.

Day 58....no pippies.

well, i predicted somewhere around the 22nd or 23rd. we'll see how this plays out.
