I'm kind of nervous....but that leather bear in 1188 and 1192 looks like a guy I "met" at Mardi Gras, back in the late '80's. No.....no.....couldn't be him.....couldn't be.....

Wonerful, Mindy. Wonderful. No southern belle is properly attired to endure southern heat and humidity without layers and layers of petticoats and whalebone corsets.
 
LOL! I get that question a whole bunch because of my eyes. I'm French and Irish. However I do have very distinct asian eyes so somewhere in there, who knows? If anybody in my family knows, they aren't holding up to it! They come from my paternal side and they are identical to my grandmother's(cept the color. I get that from my father).

Mindy, you know my great grandmother from Oak Grove, LA in West Carroll parish, looked oriental, but it was because her grandmother was native american. I have cousins whose eyes look somewhat asian, and my sister got made fun of a lot in elementary school because the kids thought she looked oriental. Although she has green eyes and auburn hair.
But your eyes are too blue to be anything but scandinavian back there somewhere! :rofl:
They almost look lilac tinted.

Now that is really, really weird. My great grandmothers maiden name was McCoy. Her father James had left eastern Kentucky following conflicts with Hatfields, in the late 1800's.
 
You're gonna get me researching again! I haven't done it in years because I hit a road block. But I've got all the U.S. census records on disks up to 1930. Maybe I'll have to go poking around. However I do distinctly remember having relatives that came from Kentucky to LA. Just can't remember the last names of the top of my head.
