Well, on topic, and my own opinion,

Being 15 years old, I'm in the middle of being a teenager, I don't enjoy swearing, but it's something i do, this forum does not have (bad languge) at all, one or two slight arguments and comments are made that might be a little over-the-top, but so what? we don't all live in a perfect world, afterall, it's a few words, big deal, this is a disscussion board, with people from ALL over the world, there will be times people agree, disagree, argue, and get angry, and please don't tell me you have never used a curse word when your really angry, because nearly everyone does,

maybe 30/40 years ago, some swear words where REALLY extreme, but unfortuantly, most words are used in a day to day convosation.. And in moves, and Tv shows the kids on here probably watch..

so it's not something us (kids) or (young people) are blind too, and some of the stuff said on here, has never effected me, I learnted curse words at school at about the age of 5..

There are far worst reptile sites then this one for curse words,

stop worrying, chill
Your opinion and the opinions of others are welcome, but the site rules stand without regard to these opinions. Here are some excerpts from http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39306 :

This forum has a very relaxed atmosphere. There are a few rules that have been implemented by the forum’s administrator/moderator (Rich Z).

The basic rules:

7) CROSSING THE LINE - Members who let disagreements get out of hand, post inflammatory responses (personal attacks), or use foul language will receive a 3-Day ban from the forum. This is a time to cool down, collect your thoughts, and come back and become a valuable contributor to the community. If it happens again, you will receive a permanent ban. It may seem harsh, but rules have to be in place to keep the forum a positive place free of animosity amongst its members.

ADDITIONAL TIPS FOR AN ENJOYABLE CS.com EXPERIENCE

This is a growing community with new members coming in all the time. The existing members on this forum are a great bunch and love to see all the new members joining the group. However, there are a few tips to help you navigate and a few common courtesies that you should consider extending to the rest of the community's members. These tips will help you assimilate much more easily and help you get the most out of your stay.

3) PROPER SPELLING AND GRAMMAR – This is a VERY important thing. If your posts and questions are filled with misspellings and poor grammar, you won’t be taken too seriously and no one will want to read your posts. This means you won’t receive nearly as much help. A little effort goes a long way. Chat speak in posts is typically not well received.
If you’re not a great speller, there is a spellcheck you can use before submitting your posts. If you’re not a grammar expert, just make sure you capitalize the right words and use periods/question marks.
Note for Non-Native English speakers: Don’t worry if your English isn’t perfect. We are all understanding of these situations. There are many members from countries where English is not the first language. Just do your best and no one will hold it against you.

5) FOUL LANGUAGE – Cursing is not only ill-received by forum members it will also earn you a 3-day banning from the forum. If it continues you will receive a permanent ban period.

then why do I never see these people getting band roy? myself included? I'm not asking to be banned, but ive crossed the line on here more then once..
It seems the rule's must be debatable to a certaint point, because I know some people do (cross the line) pretty often, and yet, no ban :shrugs:

I could do quotes, but it wouldnt be worth the flaming war..

Wow, I posted #21 yesterday and we are now up to #185. Boy, you folks have been busy. I need to get internet at home again because this is just too much. It's taken my whole break at work just to find #21.

You guys have tooooooooo much time on your hands. :dancer::rofl:

The rules aren't debateable George, but the admin has given the mods a lot of discretion in their enforcement. I can't speak for Susan and Mike, but I'm reasonably certain that they don't want this place to be run like a police-state any more than I do. And remember, just because you see lines crossed doesn't mean that we do. If a post isn't reported, it may not be addressed by the mods at all. And we don't always suspend/ban based on a single incident either. Warnings may be given via PM that you are never aware of.

Thank you for clearing that up Roy, I have recieved one warning about 5 month ago, does that mean if I was to (cross the line) now I would still be perm banned? I of course am not going to look for trouble, I have just always wondering, also in my first week, december 2006 I was banned for 2 weeks, does this mean, if I was to break the rules now, I would be perm banned? or does time really heal?

Us...the people who are keeping a dead thread going...you, me, and the other bored goofballs. :D

Yes, but ALL my posts are quality, mixing relevant information, rapier wit, and shed-a-tear poignancy that keeps you coming back for more. Really.

No, really.

(Great rack, btw.) :sidestep:

<--------- BTW...new avatar. ;)

I want my Ariel!! You were artsy-fartsy enough yesterday, what with the Botticelli reference. We're common folk here. Soccer moms. NASCAR dads. Frat boys crushing beer cans on our forehead.

It really all depends, George. If you are periodically warned or suspended for the same kinds of behavior, then you could face a permanent ban. We don't have any specific "three strikes" rule, or anything like that. There was a guy here once who I perm-banned for a single infraction. He was an obvious troll, and I wasn't playing games with him. He isn't missed.

I think we would have one of the CS enforcers come by your place and smack you around. I believe for your location its Diamondlil!! :grin01:

Thanks Roy : )

I guess, if we all are good, and get on, things would be better, sometimes though, a disagreement will always be made, I try to avoid them Nowadays :p

I like to feel I'd be missed here :p
