How many Snakes do you have??

I try to keep the # of "keepers" including adults, juvies, and babies, to under 30. The rest of the 2012 hatchlings that will be or are being offered for sale, probably adds about another 55 to that #. Add the dozen snakes I am fostering and it is about 100 snakes in the house right now. Not all corns, but mostly.

Are all those corns or a mix of different snakes?

At this time I have 6 non corns: MBK, Sinaloan Milks, and Everglades ratsnakes. I've been getting into keeping other species but corns are still my main interest.

I would love to have a variety when I get more snakes. I love corns and their docile nature, but I love kings and their strong personality!

26 Corn Snakes and 2 Bull Snakes. Also have a clutch of Corn Snake eggs hatching so that total will change tomorrow! :grin01:

Todd

I Love the look of Bull snakes! But heard they were aggressive. How are the temperament on yours?

They are Red Bull Snakes I bought from KJUN. The male is a little hissy sometimes, but overall they are easy to handle...but be careful when they are hungry!!!!:sidestep:

Todd

I have 11 right now... That number will probably continue to increase over the next few months. Not a lot at all, enough for now. All corns for me. Hope to get into carpet pythons and rainbow boas soon.

I have 35 corn snake breeders, 6 juvenile snakes, and 20 baby corns, 9 non-corn adults, and 23 clutches waiting to hatch (still waiting, impatiently.... all the snakes laid late this year, just to drive me NUTS!)...

So that is 70 snakes and about 200 eggs in the incubator.

Yes, lots of snakes gets overwhelming... I've downsized a bit...
but if you spend an hour or so every day working on snakes, it gets the job done.
I also have recruited a neighbor kid to help me out so it doesn't take as long as it would if I were doing it alone.

It is a passion... and I don't watch TV, so instead of watching Can You Sing/Dance/whatever the latest craze is, I'm down with my snakes, rocking out to music and having a great time.

Okay, did a head count...

16 corns
1 ball python
1 boa constrictor
1 sinaloan milk snake
and 1 feisty little western hognose

So my earlier guess of 20 was spot on!

Everyone, this is amazing!!! I need more snakes in my life! Looking in to a snake rack as we speak. I really don't know anyone who could help make one, so I'm trying to find one at a good price!

this is approximate.
155 adults,
90- 2010's,
118- 2011's,
and guessing around 400 hatchlings at the moment, but that number goes up n down a lot. 2 days ago it was around 300, in 2 weeks it may be around 500.
all corns.

Man am I jealous. Anytime you want to trade lives just let me know!!!

I had one corn snake 2 weeks ago. Two days ago I was getting 2 from SMR. Now I'm getting 3.

Grand total as of RIGHT NOW: 4 (though 3 aren't here yet ... 2 days!).
