23.june.2008 What is Steve up to?
It's some kind of cocoon. A chamber made out of web.

Another eggsac perhaps? Or maybe she is making a "burrial" chamber. Do some spidies not die after they lay a sac?

This has turned into a brilliant progression thread Tosh... Sort of an arachnid soap...LOL
I can't wait for the next episode.....

29.june.2008 I've checked on Steve and apparently she layed some more eggs.
Strange. These aren't orange like the last "clutch", I wonder how these will turn out.
The first batch of Mini.Steves are doing well - I think
I think they've moulted, cos they kinda changed shape - more steve.like
They are now black with yellow/white markings. They are cute.
I feed them plant lice, cos I don't really know what else to feed them.

So Steve still lives :) Hurray

I just found this thread and it rocks. Those pics of the baby Steves are amazing. I don't like spiders but I still think they're nifty.

If you go to Florida, there's a royal jumping spider there.
Jet black color with white spots, and also they have same color as yours, but its
about 4 times bigger than your spider. I used to keep them as a pet.

23.july.2008 I released the Mini.Steves[part2] into the wild too.
Ofcourse there are a few pictures.

Steve wanted to say "hi" too :)

This has developed into an amazing progression....... Nice one Steve.... And nice one Tosh
It's a shame Steve doesn't know she became an interweb sensation

I have really bad arachniphobia, but thankfully I can deal with some pictures of them. Your spider looks kind of cute in a creepy way, for a spider at least.
