Pied-Sided Bloodred (SMR vs. McDonald lines)

And nowhere in my post do I say either one does. Actaully, I don't mention a thing about how consistent each line produces. It only states that the McD line produces just as nice Pied-Sided Bloodreds.

You admit that yourself right here.

Thanks, Hector
Walter,

My reply is not a reflection of your response, it is simply stating my belief between the two lines.

Somebody posted one a while back i think that wasnt either mcdonals or smr and it was killer.

Yeah, I saw that post. It is an incredible looking snake. I really love the zaggy looking pattern. The only thing is, as you can see in pic. of it a bit older, is that as the red coloration develops, it kinda masks that awesome pattern, making it a bit harder to see.

This one I have has a very little amount of that zaggy pattern on it, right on the neck.
I believe Rob produced one with that patterning on it as well.

Well, thank you for that post, Don! I have a pretty clear understanding of the history of the SMR line of pied-sides now, if not the McDonald line and what happened to that line after the connection with your F1 SMR female.

Have any diffused combo pieds been produced yet?
Hypo bloods, Anery bloods and Hypo Anery Bloods I believe, search 'combo pieds' on this forum and it will come up with some. ;)

It's great to see the other side represent themselves. Thank you Don for clearing up some details. And to a few of the posters, thank you for restoring some of my faith in civility. Now if only I could afford a trio?!?!?

Well

I would like to see Hectors breeding of the same pair and the results he gets with them this year.If they are selctively bred for the amount of white or work in a way that is not totally a isolated recessive gene the results will vary. I know when breeding a pair of the same animals two years in a row you could get completely different results the second year as I have done in the past. One year I bred hets for Miami Lavenders and got awesome results many animals came out super nice, the next year only one came out nice! This also applys for Candy Cane corns,I bred a trio of the best looking Candycanes and the two clutchs that hatched were run of the mill amels,we still have alot to learn and a long way to go to know how these genes work in our stock, thats if we ever figure out whats going on with them.

Don,

Thanks for coming to the table and presenting your side. I think all appreciate your knowledge on the subject.

Just a "my 2 cents2-notice:

I thought Walter just wanted to share information about pieds and stuff. I'm a bit shocked and wonder why there's so much anger in this thread. Nowhere, while reading, I had the opinion that he wants to corrupt the SMR piedsided line anywise :shrugs:

either it's up to me or most people got him horrible wrong. :shrugs::shrugs::shrugs:

Thanks Stephan,
I apprcaite you posting your view on my writtings. Trying to smear the SMR line of Pied-Sideds is definalty not my intention what-so-ever.
