stupid breeders why cant you just leave things be

Hey, I just didn't want anyone else to get a "fella"! Rich was very clear about the off-topic posts in this thread.

And very nice panda Dave!

And I love my new little jungle corn hatchling! I'm very disappointed to have lost it's clutchmate, but I do have 1 more egg from the other pair, her second clutch, that still looks good. I just wish he didn't look so much like a Cali king at the moment...

I don't really think anyone is going to get fella'd for making new friends...

It's hybrids that brought us together!

I guess we were hoping the off topic would be null in this case since we extended the olive branch and made peace, so to speak.

You gotta break a few eggs to make an awesome breakast. We broke eggs, realized we were all reptile lovers at heart and bonded into a kick butt breakfast.

It's not Waffle House, but the fighting is over and we all understand each other a bit better.

Albino "Pastel Kings" hybrid albino tri-color Kingsnake extreme peach-orange Nuevo Leon Kingsnakes (Lampropeltis mexicana thayeri) x extreme version albino Queretaro Kingsnakes (Lampropeltis ruthveni).

Now, tell me you there isn't a corn in your collection you wouldn't like to breed to this one....

TBH nope there isn't a corn in my collection I would breed him to. He is awesome enough like that.

Sometimes the best course I can take is to just let nature take it's own course. Who the hell would want a heavy handed arsehole for an admin on this site who doesn't know when to leave well enough alone?

Of course, I guess some people think that already..... :roflmao: And sometimes I would agree with them..... :dunce:

Lol, yeah, I would definitely agree he is awesome enough to be sure. Thats just the freak coming out in me. I'm super freaky like that sometimes. Just a super freak. :sidestep:

I like that so many of us here share a compassion as well as a passion for snakes. I can see I'm going to learn a lot here and have fun doing so.

I think if one thing has shone through in this thread, it's our communal passion for snakes. Snakes of any kind matter deeply to all of us. And with captive snake keepers and breeders, that matters a lot.

Very cute little fella. But.....nope, no corns in my collection I would want bred to him. Breeding one of my babies to him would ruin the awesomeness on both sides.....(especially the corn side mmmmmhhhaaaaaaaahhhhhhaaaa).

Those are pretty neat! I could see where a bubble gum snow or one of the pinker corals might be a neat cross.

The pink snake above is perfect as-is. I would not be tempted to mess with that. It would be cool if you could take two of those and make more.

I think I'm friends with a breeder on Facebook that makes those, just so I can see pics of pretty snakes. Clayton Carlisle.

Carpe, I can appreciate the beauty of that kingsnake/thing you posted, it is pleasing enough to the eye. But if I owned it, it would never be bred. I'm going to go on a silly tangent and liken it to body art. Surely we can all agree that the female form is a beautiful creation. A little nose ring or tattoo doesn't bother me either. But at some point of ink coverage, gauges, branding, scars, and foreign objects, it no longer looks like the human form to me. I understand that some people feel differently -in both hybrids and body art. You're a guy and I'm a guy, and since I seem to have a hard time getting this thought across, allow me to explain it in pictures:

Classic wild type corn snake -pretty, and you just don't see enough nice ones these days:

Top shelf Okeetee -impossible to improve upon to my eye, you can only get different, never "better." So what she dyes her hair!:
23mouo9.jpg

Hypo avalanche stripe tessera -Sure it looks nothing like a wild type but who wouldn't want one?:
2ewjnue.jpg

Creamsicle -perhaps not exactly "as god intended," but still can be very nice to look at and something I wouldn't mind working with:

Cross-genus hybrid -Certainly interesting to the eye, but I'm not sure what it's supposed to be:

Now the biggest fault in my analogy is that body art isn't passed on to future generations. Imagine for a moment that it is, and here's what I fear happening to generations of corns from hybridizing becoming common place:

PS, please no one take this post too seriously.

Nanci

I know Clayton He used to work for Darby who used to be the one who was creating all those Crazy colored and patterned hybrids.I guess he got Darbys collection at least some of it because Darby got out of reptiles from what I heard. Clayton now works for a close friend of mine

I don't know him at all! He's one of the very few people I'm friends with on Facebook that I don't "know" in some manner. Like you- I don't know you in real life, but I've known you from here for years :) Tell Hicks is another one. I just love to see his snake/lizard paintings.
