Shame on me, I did not expect that answer. Politics was never my strong suit really. I consider myself essentially minarchist libertarian, and compared to many of my strongly anarchist friends I feel a bit like a walking contradiction. :shrugs: Aren't we all to some degree?

Anyway, I actually agree with most of the stuff posted. I would love for gun bans to be an option, but they just aren't. I feel quite safe around my gun-toting (law-abiding taxpayer) friends. It's just feeling awfully one-sided around here, so to shake things up:

I think along Chip's lines, though. Socially liberal- just leave my guns alone.
 
I am socially libertarian. I prefer the gov (aka politicians) stay out of it no matter which side they are on.

In other words, yet another presidential election with no substantial "choices" available.

After being told on the last election that my write-in vote for Ron Paul didn't count since he was not an "approved" candidate, I may just sit it out rather than trying to figure out who the lesser of the options are to vote against.

As for the chances of Hillary becoming POTUS, I'm not real sure I would want to live in a country composed of a majority of people who would think this is a good idea. But I've seen the Republicans prop up a candidate that somehow appeared to be worse than any other offering offered.

Maybe before I die these political parties will stop the self serving partying and get serious about fixing the issues in this country instead of having their primary goal in office the padding of their own bank accounts.

Speaking of which, just how wealthy has Hillary become since coming out of nowhere to become a "public servant"?

Just goes to show you the trouble this country is in........ I guess we are getting the government that we deserve.
 
Well, frankly, historically most governments only last a couple of hundred years so we're overdue for a change.....just not the change Obama wanted.....

Any other American would be in prison having done what she has done yet she is being considered for the highest office in the land. :angry01::mad:
