He broke explicit rules and accumulated infraction points. It's just how the site works, sorry. AFAIK it's not permanent, but that's really between him and the mods.

I believe it is permanent and it is not between him and the mods. The owner of the site stepped in on this one.
 
WOW!

I could see why they (your employer?) would be concerned with WHAT you say on FB, but why would they forbid participating in any way, shape, or form?

Because I might interact with patients on FB and social interactions with patients are verboten.
 
And what if...

...you should happen to meet a patient at the grocery store? If you aren't considered professional enough to control yourself online, how you can be trusted in public at all, lol? (maybe I better not give "them" any ideas!)
