Progression thread for my IJ Carpet Pythons

Thank you Fred! Not all of the ones pictured are mine, some are siblings or parents.
The IJ Jag baby is mine, but the first adult Jag pictured is his mom, & the other Jag-looking one, posted recently, with the baby next to it is not a jag, she's IJ, & is out of the same clutch as my baby girl next to her. She just turned out really yellow & grew super fast!

Here's a couple more pics of Karma post shed :)

I just can't believe how tiny she is. Charlie broke 5 feet this summer and she's still growing. I'm watching her and trying to imagine that she was once a little noodle like Karma.

I know, she's so little & adorable. I kinda wish she would stay like this, but I want to see how she grows up. She will be 8 weeks old on Thursday.
I think she'll grow like a week once she gets to eating more consistantly though.

Don't worry, there will be lots of pics. :)

updating with more pics :)

Here's my IJ kids:
Karma (hatched July 8th) IJ (female)?
Teija '09 IJ female
Taji '09 IJ male
Dazbog '10 IJ Jag male
Jezanna '10 IJ female

a few more :)

Skadi '09 IJ female
Sirona '09 IJ female
Patron '09 IJ male (from the same parents as Jezanna)

*Skadi & Sirona came to me just barely bigger than my '10 baby, Jezanna, because they weren't fed as often as they should have been.
They're growing & becoming very sassy! :)

I have added one of Dazhbog's sisters, another 75% IJ Jaguar. Her name is Adaria (sticking with the gods & goddess theme).

Beautiful colors and pattern. You have very nice carpets.
Thank you, I love them all!
Crap! Patron is a highlighter! lol

And your new baby is sooooo nice Heather! Next time I visit...I gotta meet her :)

Well, for whatever reason, my camera really pulls yellow out on these guys. He's a tad lighter in the yellow, but both he & Jezanna are getting more & more yellow, just like their sister, Pandora, that Deb kept.
Who knows where the yellow is coming from, but I love it!
(Is Malakai getting more yellow as well?)

*I changed his name, from Patron, to Daray...to stick with the gods & goddess themes, plus, the fact he now has a new life, he gets a new name. :)

I will have to add Tahlaia & Tyr, the two I took in for a friend who lost her job. I took them in initially to foster for her, but they'll likely going to be permenant, which I'm ok with. :)

Here are Tyr (approx 3yrs old Jungle Carpet Python), & Tahlaia ('09 IJ Carpet Python).
Both came from a friend a little bit ago, who lost her job & could not care for her animals. I took them in with the option of her getting them back when she's back on her feet, but more than likely, they'll stay with me.

How big do the carpet pythons get? They look really cool.

The smaller ones (IJ's) are generally in the 4-5 foot range. I do have a pic of a female IJ that is believed to be one of the first captive owned IJ's (possibly wild caught) that got huge, & she recently passed away, at about 16 or so years old.

This big girl, is not mine, but she was awesome. She was believed to be one of the first captive owned IJ's (possibly wildcaught). She passed away recently, she was at least 16 yrs old.

I have two future planned babies coming. One is a Coastal Carpet, hatched this past year, & the other will be a Jungle female, out of a planned breeding for this year.
I can attatch a pic of the baby Coastal (I'm leaning towards naming her "Gaia")

Yea he is! It's most starting to crawl up in his black...but his yellow is definitely brightening up.

And sweet, I like Daray...is he still a little Devil? lol Malakai is cage aggressive but only puffs up and hisses, doesn't strike, then when he's out he's VERY curious. I'll be trying to take some better pictures tonight so you can see them in his progression thread. :)

Love that Coastal and Adult btw! :D

Yes, Daray is still fairly hateful, although he seems to be calming down, a little.

Thanks :) Do you recognize the adult female? It's Zmeya, Deb's girl. Unfortunately, she passed away not too long ago. :( She was an amazing snake.

Missed this one :)

Heather is right....the smallest are the IJ's, and the biggest "usually" are the Coastals. They can get upwards of 8 or 9 ft long, but the nice thing is, they don't get "big bodied" like boas do, they stay pretty slender.

Here is me with Wally, an 8ft + carpet. :) He is super cool.

Wally is (was) another great snake :)
They lost him too, not too long ago. :( He was about as old as Zmeya was.
If I remember right, either one of or both Wally & Zmeya were original captive owned IJ's. They were both about the same age.
Wally & Zmeya were both larger than normal IJ's.

And Heather no I didn't recognize her....thats too bad...just old age?
Yeah, I was just over there last week. She told me about them not too long ago. It's been a rough time for them. They really love their animals.

And those of you seeing how huge this IJ is in this picture, he was a big snake, for an IJ, but Em is also a petite girl. :)
