Allow me to be frank with you, Lavender, as I have no real desire to argue semantics with you. I think all types of spirituality are beautiful in their own ways. But many people do not abide being spoon fed others beliefs. So, you are either a troll, and a pretty good one. Or you simply do not understand manners where religion is concerned. While not a christian myself, I find some aspects of the belief moving and interesting. But people who attempt to ram home the point with half cocked theories, and erroneous bible verses only provide ammunition for those in the world who truly dislike religion. Many christians cry foul, and scream persecution. But in my experience, those are the same people who persecute others for their LACK of common ground. Let your religion be beautiful; It does not need your help.

I really don't see where I am attempting to force anyone to believe anything. Just simply sharing stuff in the chit chat section of this forum. On the contrary I cannot force anyone to believe any thing. In the mighty words of Stonewall Jackson. "Duty is our's, the consequences are God's."

To me it is pretty obvious that there are very little people at cs.com who appreciate your sharings. So why do you keep doing it? You must know by now that religion is a touchy subject and you will get negative reactions, which gives you the opportunity to defend your beliefs. Further you have been throwing biblical quotes in the ring in a variety of discussions about non religious topics. Still you dare to say you are not trying to force your beliefs onto others? It may be packed in a passive agressive attitude but you know exactly what you are doing or you really are brain washed in an extent beyond repair.

Carol, your response made me giggle. :)

The passive aggressive posting of bible verses that come accross as letting us non Christians know that we're destined for hell, won't be shown mercy, etc, etc.... don't bother me, because I no longer believe in that god. Ever hear the phrase that you have to believe in something for it to have power?

It does speak volumes when other Christians here do not like what the OP is doing here.

Like I said before, I do not base my opinion of others on their choice of religion, only in how they treat others.

Blessed be!

If I'm brainwashed to Sola Scriptura then so be it. Ecuminicalism and Utopia sounds nice and good luck building those societies.

I blame myself. :p I don't have anything personal again Lavender or his spiritual beliefs. But this thread blew me away and I simply had to respond.

Oh, I know Gran. I was just taking full responsibilty for breathing life back into this beasty. I imagine Lav and I would have a lot of common ground if he could get past me being a heathen. :-D

Well I'm going to give this some air time. Lav could you tell me the difference in a poor man/orphan/widow and a lazy man/out of work person (in todays economy easy to be unemployed/out of work/poor.
Also what about a woman married to a lazy man (one who won't work because he can't get up on time, or doesn't like his boss...), does she get extra benefit in heaven because she is carrying his burden by working, paying the bills and putting food on the table. OR is she doomed because she married a lazy man Or is she one of the pre-doomed/unchosen.

Susang that man would not be a man of god. I am guessing in lavender thoughts. Sort of sounds like a group called Promise Keepers

You all know by now the topic of this thread.

So if you wish not be ""so called"" preach to then close the door.

I've been unemployed for three years and put out hundreds of applications and resumes until I finally got a job. Now I'm a proud working college student mother. If I wasn't already going to the Christian hell I would certainly have the qualifications by choosing self improvement instead of letting a preacher spell out my convictions. The educated are doomed after all.

Nothing random about this thread... brainwashed people make poor debates.
