Rich, I think you made a very decent and well thought out decision. I'm glad you chose leniency as I think there are many people that feel David can benefit greatly from CS.com and become a positive contributor to your site.
David, personally I try to avoid getting into things with you and will continue to do so. See you in a month.
 
Rich, I applaud your VERY wise and Solomon - like decision...

I am sure you had to put in a lot of time and effort to come to it. Glad you didn't have to offer to cut David in half in order to satisfy everyone, lol!

David - I agree with Eric. I said I look at you as my "sort of online foster kid" as I have tried to support you and offer relevant advice privately. But now that Rich has given you a 2nd chance after a period of reflection during your "read only" time, I will expect a renewed effort to make good on the potential that I feel I have seen in you. I wish you the best of luck in fulfilling that role. Nobody gets "2nd chances" forever.

AND - change your password and never give it to anyone, lol!

I would like to take this time to apologize to David for the other day, I now know that his account had been highjacked and it was not him that posted that.
David I am sincerely sorry. I do hope that when your able to come back posting that we can put the past behind us and start out with a fresh start.
 
That's really awesome of you, Nancy. David's a forgiving kid, and I'm sure he'll be more than happy to start fresh.

It's humbling to have to apologize like that, isn't it? I've had to do it several times lately. Let's you and me make a new resolution...that we try really hard not to put ourselves in a position again where we have to come back and apologize for our actions. Deal? I'm doing something similar to this with a friend of mine, and so far, it's working well for our friendship. Wanna join the nice contest club? ;) It's silly, but fun and actually makes you think before you speak (or type). Something I'm not so good at. One of my favorite quotes: There is such a thing as an unexpressed thought. I think I need that tattooed on the back of my hands. :p

Wade, THIS has got to be the most hilariously ironic statement I have seen in a long time. Imagine you actually giving someone else a hard time about not letting things go. The irony is palpable...

As for the David thing...I didn't see the thread in question, so I have no opinion...

Chris, you just have no consideration for how I feel. You are a mean hurtful man. I am simply crushed that you would attack me in this way. Now I know how David must feel. :cry:;)
 
Personally I'm glad the initial sentence was retracted. Seems so silly to me that people have vilified David as being this evil monster, when in reality he's just a teenager with an overwhelming interesting in snakes. No use in hating him for it, especially when there's people out there (and on here) who have done, and continue to do much worse things...I say "Spread the love", and like VetusVates told me; "You attract more bees with honey than you do with Vinegar"..Don't perpetuate annoyance, because when you do you attract much of the same!.

Most of us have found it difficult at some point when we first got here...
My drive in went over quite a few bumpy patches and if I remember correctly, I may have dragged you into the passenger seat for some of the bends.... ;)
